After pioneering atomized mist dust control cannons more than a decade ago with its powerful DustBoss designs, Dust Control Technology has changed its name to BossTek to better reflect all of the company’s successful product lines.

Metso partners with Rockwell to create IoT solutions for Mining

Metso began working with Rockwell Automation on a pilot program in 2015, remotely monitoring an African-based mining crusher from a location in Wisconsin.

Metso has selected Rockwell Automation to deliver a global industrial Internet of Things (IoT) platform that connects, monitors, and performs analytics for Metso's equipment and services, resulting in improved efficiency and profitability for its mining and aggregates customers. The digital solution will securely collect and store data from Metso's equipment around the globe, including new equipment as well as machines already in operation.

Feasibility Study for new Rio Tinto Iron Ore Development in the Pilbara

The Koodaideri development will require an expected 1600 construction jobs and a further 600 operational staff if approved.

Rio Tinto has approved an investment of USD 30.9 million to complete the project feasibility study for the development of its Koodaideri iron ore deposit in Western Australia. The study, which is included in the group’s disclosed capital guidance, will examine the Koodaideri option as Rio Tinto’s next potential major mining development in the Pilbara, and is intended to replace existing production.

FLSmidth receives cement plant order in Pakistan

FLSmidth is to deliver a complete cement production line to Power Cement Limited in Pakistan.

FLSmidth has been awarded a EUR 90 million order from Power Cement Limited, part of the Arif Habib Group in Pakistan, for engineering, procurement and supply of equipment for a 7700 tpd production line comprising two projects; clinker production and cement production and dispatch. The new production line will expand the two existing lines located in Nooriabad north-east of Karachi, Pakistan.

Nautilus Minerals’ Seafloor Production Tools arrive in Papua New

The Collecting Machine,  a large robotic vehicle, will collect the cut material (sand, gravel, silt) by drawing it in as seawater slurry with internal pumps and pushing it through a flexible pipe to the Riser and Lifting System.
Deep Sea Mining
Nautilus Minerals Inc. announced that the Company’s Seafloor Production Tools have arrived in Papua New Guinea, and will shortly commence submerged trials. The Seafloor Production Tools – the Auxiliary Cutter, the Bulk Cutter and the Collecting Machine, were designed and built at Soil Machine Dynamic’s facility in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.

Amec FW signs MOU with Encanto and Muskowekwan First Nations

MRL and Encanto have a joint venture agreement to develop the Muskowekwan Potash Project - the first mining project in Saskatchewan, Canada, on First Nations land.

Amec Foster Wheeler announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Muskowekwan Resources Ltd (MRL), a wholly-owned operating company of the Muskowekwan First Nations and Encanto Potash Corp. MRL and Encanto have a joint venture agreement to develop the Muskowekwan Potash Project - the first mining project in Saskatchewan, Canada, on First Nations land.

The steel maker ArcelorMittal is building on proven solutions and reliable partners in Brazil. About 20 years ago, a shock-pressure-proof drag chain conveyor was ordered for Brazil from Louise Fördertechnik before this company was acquired by Aumund Fördertechnik GmbH, and now Aumund has won an order for another drag chain conveyor type Louise TKF. The shock-pressure-proof design of its predecessor was no longer required for the new model because of the change in classification of the plant segment. The dispatch of the machine is planned for June 2017.

Premier Tech invests CAD 7 Million to expand one of its Plants

Starting in March 2017, the work for adding 2300 sqm to one of the two Industrial Equipment Group plants in Rivière-du-Loup will get under way.

To support the steady growth of its Industrial Equipment Group, Premier Tech will inject CAD 7 million into expanding one of the plants at its Campus in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada. That investment is required due to the great demand for its automated packaging systems manufactured in Rivière-du-Loup and exported primarily to the Americas.
