BMT completes Pre-Feasibility Study for Multi-Purpose Port Project Pelindo II

The proposed Port of Kijing will complement the current river port at Pontianak and a local network of coastal and river terminals with a planned total capacity of up to 3 million TEUs, 15 million tonnes of bulk capacity, and over 20 millions tonnes of liquid capacity per annum.

BMT Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of BMT Group has completed its latest project with state-owned port operator, Indonesian Port Corporation II. BMT has delivered a pre-feasibility study for a possible Greenfield site in the region of Kijing in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The proposed Port of Kijing will complement the current river port at Pontianak and a local network of coastal and river terminals with a planned capacity of of up to 3 million TEUs, 15 million tonnes of bulk capacity, and over 20 million tonnes of liquid capacity per year.

Cargotec has secured an order to deliver three stationary ship loaders for installation at a grain terminal in the Ukrainian port of Illichevsk. The belt-type loaders, which are designed to handle vessels of up to 100 000 dwt, each have a grain loading capacity of 2000 t/h. It will be possible to use two loaders simultaneously to provide efficient, environmentally friendly grain loading services.
