NRW wins Nammuldi Mining and Ore Haulage Contract from Rio Tinto

NRW Holding Limited has been awarded a contract from Rio Tinto for contract mining and ore haulage, which will increase the production at Rio Tinto's Nammuldi mine, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 60 km north-west of Tom Price. The contract includes supply, installation and operation of two 5 million tpa crushing plants and has a value of approx. AUD 140 million.

EuroChem Group, Maire Tecnimont, SACE sign MoU for Construction of 5 Plants

In Russia, EuroChem and Maire Tecnimont will work together on three Projects: an ammonia-urea facility in Nevinnomyssk and an ammonia plant in Kingisepp, the latter including an additional Project to integrate urea production.
Ammonia-Urea Plant Projects
EuroChem Group AG, Maire Tecnimont and SACE jointly announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in relation to the construction of five ammonia-urea plants to be commissioned in Russia, the United States and Kazakhstan over the next 10 years. The Projects will provide EuroChem with an additional five million tonnes of ammonia and 7.5 million tonnes of urea capacity per annum.

Port of Immingham receives first UK Multi Fuel Unloader Delivery

Following an order placed in March 2013, Siwertell, part of Cargotec, has delivered, installed and commissioned two continuous ship unloaders at ABP's port of Immingham, UK. They will be used to discharge wood pellets and coal to supply the Drax power station. Both types of fuel will be unloaded at a rate of 1200 t/h. This is the first Siwertell unloader delivery to the UK for combined coal/biomass handling.

Prevent Wear and Material Loss in Conveyor Systems

An important step in preventing material loss from conveyor systems is to correct the guidance of the conveyor belt. Flexco provides various belt centring systems for this purpose – for example the PT Pro Belt Trainer. This detects when the belt is not running true and corrects it. This is achieved by a special feature – when the belt wanders, the pivot and tilt movement always guides it back into the correct position. With this centring system, users therefore not only have significantly less material loss, they also reduce their maintenance costs.
