Cleanscrape Conveyor Belt Cleaner

The Cleanscrape belt cleaner protects the belt with its low, specific application of force and is suited for both slow and fast conveyor belts with mechanical connections. The innovative belt cleaning system received the Australian Bulk Handling Award in the "Innovative Technology" category in 2013.

Distributed from the headquarters of Martin Engineering GmbH in Germany, the Cleanscrape belt cleaning system is now sold exclusively by Martin Engineering in all of Europe as well as in Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East. This innovative belt cleaning system received the Australian Bulk Handling Award in the "innovative technology" category in 2013 due to its various highly promising benefits, and it won over all of the experts immediately.

Cleanscrape is a head cleaner that is installed directly underneath the discarding area. It is placed diagonally across the head drum and forms a space curve. The individual scraper units are vulcanised in a matrix and touch the belt only with extremely low pressure. The manufacturer claims that "due to its excellent cleaning capacity, Cleanscrape often makes the previously crucial secondary belt cleaners unnecessary. This provides a large advantage for the user, who saves not only preliminary installation costs but also personnel costs arising from the intensive and necessary maintenance of secondary belt cleaners. On average, Cleanscrape can remove between 85 and 95% of debris, depending on the type of material used."

Additional features of this belt cleaner are extremely low surface pressure, low belt abrasion, and almost no maintenance requirements. The Cleanscrape belt cleaner protects the belt with its low, specific application of force and is suited for both slow and fast conveyor belts with mechanical connections. Since the entire installation requires so little space, it is the perfect solution for areas with restricted space. The fastening device can, for example, be installed both inside and outside of the transfer chute in the required position. The installation of the belt cleaner is very simple and takes no longer than two hours, even with inexperienced personnel.

Cleanscrape is generally sold in three sizes: S, M, and L, which cover drum diameters from 270 to 1250 mm and bandwidths from 300 to 2800 mm. The individual size S, M, and L are also available in four different carbide metal qualities. Of these, a carbide metal quality was developed specially for use on conveyor belts with mechanical connections. The steel components can also be delivered in stainless steel if required. All Cleanscrape designs are certified by ATEX and can also be used in underground mining. In addition to the pre-assembled belt cleaners that are ready for installation, the scraper units are also available as coils with a total length of 12.4 meters apiece. The belt cleaner lengths can be easily adapted to meet your needs. Necessary equipment and accessories, such as chains or steel cables, can also be obtained from Martin Engineering by the meter.
