The E-Crane ordered by Mulzer Crushed Stone has has a maximum duty cycle capacity of 16.5 t and a maximum outreach of 26.4 m.
Barge Unloading
In early 2016, Mulzer Crushed Stone ordered an E-Crane which will be mounted on a deck barge. The E-Crane has a maximum duty cycle capacity of 16.5 t (18.2 short tons) and a maximum outreach of 26.4 m (86.5 ft). This is a flexible mobile floating offloading platform that allows barge unloading to a shore mounted hopper, floating hopper or direct to trucks depending on the product and location. The floating rig incorporates the latest design for spud operation, barge haul winches and power distribution.

A new conveyor design is set to help reduce conventional heavy-duty truck traffic and the resulting high operating costs in open pit mines. This article presents the design and the initial findings of the feasibility study on the Chevron-Megapipe conveyor for a 350 m-deep open pit mine and a mass flow of 5000 t/h.

Reducing the number of transfer points in long distance conveying results in lower energy requirements as well as in improved product quality due to lower particle attrition. Due to their patented technology a French supplier was able to install Europe’s longest belt conveyor with both flights running side by side, creating a very low construction height. The 6.2 km overland belt conveyor system went into operation at a cement factory in Montalieu, France.
