New Secondary Cleaner Ideal for Use on Mining Conveyors

Made with heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the FMS Medium-Duty Secondary Cleaner is ideal for use on mining conveyors.
Conveyor Belt Cleaning
Flexco recently introduced the FMS Medium-Duty Secondary Cleaner to its complete line of belt cleaning products. The simple, yet durable, design of the cleaner provides quality cleaning performance at an affordable price. Made with heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the FMS is ideal for use on mining conveyors with belt speeds up to 1000 fpm (5 m/s). It can be used for belt widths ranging from 18” to 72” (450 to 1800 mm), with additional sizes available upon request.

Conveying the Coarse vertically

The new Aumund BWG-GK elevator for coarse grain is designed for the transport of material of grain sizes up to 80 mm.
Vertical Conveying
Belt bucket elevators are in use in various industries for the vertical conveying of numerous bulk solids. New designs of the belt as well as of the buckets and their fixations have led to largely improved conveying heights and capacities. Aumund belt bucket elevators, for example, are characterised by large conveying heights of up to 200 m and conveying capacities up to 2500 t/h.

Return Idler Cages – Cost-Effective Solutions for a safer Work

Belt Conveyor Safety
One of the most easily preventable conveyor accident sources is a dislodged return idler falling onto an unsuspecting worker. Misaligned belts often come into contact with return idler brackets, shearing them off and allowing the idler to break free. Return idler cages are a cost-effective solution to protect workers against such risk.

Belt Positioning Systems make it possible to avoid Wear and Material Losses

Fig. 1: The PT Max series uses sensor rollers to detect whether the belt is starting to migrate. The belt is then guided back into its correct position. Depending on the application, the operator can install these systems either above ...
Belt Tracking
An important step in preventing material losses on conveyor belts is correcting the guidance of the conveyor belt. To achieve this, Flexco Europe GmbH offers a range of different belt positioning systems. Through the use of sensors, these detect misalignment of the belt and correct its directional precision. This also reduces or prevents damage to the edges of the conveyor belts. With these positioning systems, operators not only achieve substantial reductions in terms of material losses, they also reduce their maintenance costs.

Compact Aumund Conveyors for Sintering Plant in The Netherlands

Transport of the Aumund pan conveyor will be in a fully assembled state by truck to reduce the usual time for mounting and alignment of the various assemblies.
Hot Sinter Conveying
The Metallurgy Division of Aumund Fördertechnik has won a follow-up order to equip a third sintering line at a Dutch steel mill with an Aumund special conveyor for the conveying of hot sinter material. For this line a pan conveyor type (pan width = 2400 mm) with a length of 13.5 m will be installed. The conveying capacity has been designed for 250 t/h of hot sinter at a material temperature of 500 to 1000°C.

CEMA 576 – Classification for Conveyor Belt Cleaners

CEMA 576 is a way to confirm that a cleaner matches the application requirements, and thereby assure customer satisfaction.
Conveyor Belt Cleaning
The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (CEMA) has issued a new standard for the ranking of conveyor belt cleaners, a long-awaited publication that provides performance-based guidelines for specifying belt cleaners by establishing a specific formula for determining the level of difficulty in a given application. The goal of rating the application difficulty is to assist in appropriate cleaner selection, facilitating a suitable choice so both end user and supplier can be satisfied with the result. The new standard is included in the 7th edition of the CEMA book, Belt Conveyors for Bulk Materials, in the section on belt cleaning.

East Asia’s largest Bucket Wheel Excavator

Open pit mining and underground solutions provider, Tenova Takraf, has completed the supply and installation of a complete bucket wheel excavator (BWE) system for Zhahanaoer open pit mine in Inner Mongolia, China.
Lignite Mining
In Inner Mongolia the specialists from Leipzig-based open pit mining equipment supplier Takraf installed an excavator-conceyor-spreader system, that is aimed at improving China’s lignite mining capacity. The system, which features the largest bucket wheel excavator-conveyor-spreader-combination of its kind in Asia, was inaugurated with a celebration held on site in late November 2014.
